BPA Free & FDA Compliant

BPA Free & FDA Compliant — Safe for You and Your Family

What you put your food in matters just as much as the food itself. That's why every plastic component in our products is completely BPA free and FDA compliant for safe food contact. We believe your storage solution should protect your food — not threaten it.

What Does BPA Free Mean?

BPA (Bisphenol A) is an industrial chemical that has been used in certain plastics and resins since the 1960s. Research has raised concerns that BPA can leach from containers into food and beverages, particularly when exposed to heat. The FDA has taken steps to restrict BPA use in certain applications, and consumers have increasingly demanded BPA-free alternatives.

Every plastic we use is 100% free of BPA. We source only materials verified to be free of this chemical so you never have to worry about what's getting into your food.

FDA Compliant for Safe Food Contact

Our plastics meet the requirements set forth by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under 21 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) for food-contact materials. This means the materials we use have been evaluated and found safe for direct contact with food — the same standard required of food storage products sold throughout the United States.

What FDA food-contact compliance means for you:

  • The plastic will not leach harmful chemicals into your food under normal use conditions
  • Materials are tested for stability and non-reactivity with food substances
  • Products meet nationally recognized safety standards enforced by a federal regulatory body

Our Material Commitment

We don't just meet the minimum standard — we actively seek out materials that exceed it. When selecting the plastics used in our products, we ask:

  • Is it free of BPA and other similar bisphenol compounds?
  • Does it meet FDA food-contact regulations?
  • Is it durable enough to maintain its integrity over years of regular use?
  • Can it withstand temperature variations without degrading or leaching?

If a material doesn't pass all of these questions, it doesn't go into our products.

Safe Use Guidelines

To keep your products performing at their best and to ensure continued food safety:

  • Hand washing is recommended — while our materials are durable, hand washing extends the life of all components
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct heat sources — do not use near open flames or place directly on a hot stovetop
  • Inspect your jars regularly — if a jar becomes deeply cracked or chipped, take advantage of our free lifetime replacement program

Your Peace of Mind Matters to Us

As a family business that makes products we use in our own homes, we hold ourselves to a standard we're genuinely proud of. The plastics in our products are safe for your family because we make sure of it — every time, with every batch, with no shortcuts.
